Skittles: The Candy That Lost Its Rainbow in California

Skittles: The Candy That Lost Its Rainbow in California

Once upon a time, there was a candy called Skittles. Skittles were a rainbow of colors, and they were loved by children and adults alike. But one day, a dark cloud appeared on the horizon.

In California, a new law was passed that banned the use of certain food additives, including Red Dye 3. Red Dye 3 is one of the main ingredients used to color Skittles, so this new law meant that Skittles would no longer be able to be sold in California.

The people of California were devastated. They loved their Skittles, and they couldn't imagine a world without them. But the law was the law, and Skittles had to go.

One day, a young girl named Emily was walking through the candy aisle at the store when she saw something strange. There was a new package of Skittles, and they were all white.

Emily was confused. She had never seen white Skittles before. She picked up the package and read the label. It said "Skittles: Made with Natural Food Colorings."

Emily was curious. She had never had white Skittles before, but she decided to try them. She opened the package and popped a Skittles into her mouth.

The Skittles tasted the same as always. They were still delicious. But Emily was disappointed. She missed the rainbow colors.

Emily decided to write a letter to the Skittles company. She told them how much she loved Skittles, and how disappointed she was that they were no longer rainbow-colored in California.

The Skittles company wrote back to Emily. They told her that they understood her disappointment, and that they were working on a way to bring back the rainbow colors to Skittles in California.

In the meantime, the Skittles company sent Emily a special package of Skittles. The package contained Skittles in all the colors of the rainbow, even Red Dye 3.

Emily was so happy! She thanked the Skittles company and immediately opened the package. She popped a Skittles into her mouth and smiled. It was the perfect Skittles.

Emily knew that the other people of California would miss the rainbow colors of Skittles too. So she decided to share her package of Skittles with her friends and family.

And so, the people of California learned that even though Skittles were no longer rainbow-colored, they were still delicious. And they knew that the Skittles company was working on a way to bring back the rainbow colors.

One day, hopefully soon, the people of California will be able to enjoy Skittles in all their rainbow-colored glory once again.
